![]() The K-2 public speaking competition final will take place on Monday 18th August. The children had their first go at presenting their speeches last week. I am so impressed the the high standard that has been set and am very proud of everyone who had a go, even though many where nervous. Well done boys and girls!
This week is the last chance the children will have to present their speeches to the class before the final. Revise your speech! Think about the feedback you received in class and the guidelines and tips that have been sent home. Make any changes to your speech that you need to before presenting it this week. Revise presenting it for family and friends or in front of the mirror each day. The top two speakers will be selected at the end of this week to compete in the final on Monday. Thank you for all the had work that the students and their families have put into these excellent speeches. ![]() Georges Hall Public School is holding an adidas School Fun-Run as a fund fairing event on Wednesday 10th September. Road safety, taught as part of Personal Development, Health and Physical Education helps to develop students’ positive attitudes and safe behaviours as road users. Sharing information with parents and carers reinforces student learning and encourages safe road user behaviour around schools. Transport for NSW recently distributed Road Safety Issues Around Schools to all primary schools. This document includes road safety tips for parents and carers.
